It’s hard to see family heirlooms crumble away. Photos especially are susceptible to light and environmental damage like acids and oils from handling, or dampness from storage. And since older photos don’t usually come with the negative to make a new print, it can feel like you’re losing family history when photos start to decay. Perhaps your old photos have darkened with age, or you want to backup these old photos as insurance against fire or other disasters.
That’s where MotoPhoto can help. MotoPhoto uses a computer based restoration process to bring new life to faded or damaged photographs*. Your original materials never leave our store. A digital file is scanned from the original, and all retouching and restoration work is done electronically, so your original print is not compromised. A CD of your images is provided upon completion for future prints.
*We retouch and restore what already exists but we can't recover images that have faded completely or create a photograph of a person or an object from a description.
Very minor restoration
Imperfections consisting of one or two small marks not in an areas with any detail.

Light Restoration
Standard retouching including eyeglass glare retouching, redeye retouching, retouching blemishes, pimples, or small crack not in a detailed area.

Medium Restoration
Color enhancement of intact photo. Changing of background. Adding or removing one person. Removing spots or scratches that are not obliterating the photo. Retouching one or two tears.

Heavy Restoration
Heavily stained, spotted, faded and scratched through out the photo. Extensive damage to detail area. Colorization upon request.

Group Heavy Restoration
Extensive damage to detail area with group of people. Multiple restoration work to more than one person.

Standard restoration turnaround is two weeks. Photos over 8x10 add $20.
