Step 1: PREPARE YOUR PHOTOS
Make sure all your photos are only loose individual photos. Photos in albums or envelopes will not be process. Newspaper clippings, odd shaped photographs and laminated images cannot be scanned either. Please remove all prints from albums or envelopes. Please take the time to make sure no stickers, staples, paper clips, post-it notes, etc are attached. Remove all tape, glue or any other form of attachment from all of your prints. Photographs must be able to bend with little or no effort and cannot be attached to anything else. Only photos out of envelopes and albums will be accepted. (Pictures that are mounted or damaged can be scanned for $2.99 per photo.) Please Note: anything (i.e. water marks, scratches, pen marks, crease lines etc.) that is on the photograph will be scanned along with the photograph.
Step 2: ORGANIZE YOUR PHOTOS
All prints must be face up and must be organized by size (all 4x6’s together, all wallet’s together, all 8x10’s together…) Please make sure that every photo is right side up and face up. If the photo is upside down, the scans will also be upside down or face down (so the back of the photo is scanned, not the front). You must group your entire order in size order unless you have chosen “Scan in order” detailed in step 3. Photos must be between 3”x3” and 10”x12”. All Polaroid photos must be separated from the rest. If the photos are not organized by size, we will call you to receive additional payment for scanning in order ($49.95 per box) or the box will be returned to you unscanned and no refunds will be given. Restrictions of the scanner require all photos must be lying horizontally regardless of orientation of the photo (vertical or horizontal). If you wish to have your vertical images rotated to the correct orientation before they are burned onto the DVD, we do offer that as an additional service for an additional $84.95 per box or this can be done on your home computer.
 
If You Choose Scan in order option:
This additional option is good if (a) you have bundled your photos into categories and they must be kept together, even if they are all the same size or (b) your entire order is not grouped by size; FYI- putting your small bundles in size order does not constitute grouping your order by size. We recommend that you include index cards with handwritten notes describing the category or year. (see sample) The number in the top right corner tells us the order in which to scan. If the bundle order is not important, we do not need the number there. We do not offer reorganize your photos in chronological order. We either follow the number in the corner or scan in random group order when no number is present. PLEASE NOTE: The index card you give us will also be scanned along with the pictures and then will be the first image in each series of photos. DO NOT use Post-it notes (they will be either scanned on the image or thrown away) or scraps of paper (they will jam in our scanner and be thrown away). While selecting this option does override the need to organize your entire order in size order, it does not override taking all of your photos out of envelopes or having the photos in some sort of orderly fashion.

Only pictures are accepted for this specific service. No slides or negatives can be included with your order.

If you need to have your photos scanned in a specific order that service must be ordered along with your order as an addition. When requesting a specific order for your prints, please sort accordingly and labeling the beginning. (Additional charge of $49.99 will apply, see below for additional items)

Price includes unlimited number of individual photos that you can fit into a prepaid box supplied by us and 1 DVD data disc. The box can hold up to 1,600 4"x6” photos. Total estimated, results vary with packing and size of photos.

Prepaid boxes expire after 364 days of order placement and are non-transferable

IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR PHOTOS ALL FIT INTO THE DIMESNIONS OF THE BOX ORDERED.
Regular photo box dimensions are 11” x 8.5” x 5.5”
Enlargement Box dimensions are 11 7/8” x 3 3/8” x 13 5/8”
Limit of Liability:
MOTOPHOTO does not assume any responsibility for shipments lost or delayed by third party carriers such as the U.S. Postal Service. We will retain the digital scans of each print scanned for 30 days. In the event a shipment is lost, a duplicate DVD-R will be provided to the customer. Replacement prints from lost shipments can be produced by making prints from the DVD-R. By shipping your prints to MOTOPHOTO, you agree that we are not liable for any misplaced, lost or damaged prints and that there will be no compensation or payment should such an incident occur.
